Some people may not be aware of what fishing for bass is. Bass fishing has an interesting story. It began in the late 18th century and it still continues to develop to the present day.. More and more people have taken up this form of fishing.

It is in fact one of the most popular hobbies of people throughout the world. More and more countries have taken up fishing for bass.

It was probably in the beginning practiced in a search for food from among the people in the south of the United States. From that day onwards, it has started getting numerous fans of all ages and nations. Today, several countries such as Australia, Cuba, South Africa, United States and most citizens from Europe participate in this event.

The year 1768 or 1770 was the birth of fishing for bass sports. Onesimus Ustonson was the one who introduced his first multiplying reels to the fishing gurus and lovers of bass fishing. From then on it was developed into bait caster.

William Shakespeare Jr. have materialized the construction of a level wind device and secured its patent in 1897.

The William J. Jamison Co introduced the excessively ornamented Shannon Twin Spinner in 1915 and it was enhanced to create today’s spinner baits.

In the year 1932, President Franklin D. Roosevelt instituted the formation of Tennessee Valley Authority and encouraged the construction and building of several dams. These dams were later used for culturing different varieties of bass fishes. If these dams had not been built the people would not have had the place to go for bass fishing.

Five years later the famous DuPont Company filed copyright for nylon fishing net, and this was later urbanized into nylon monofilament fishing line.

The year 1992 is one of the most glorious events in the history of bass fishing. Larry Nixon, the famous fisherman in the history of bass fishing won $1 M total earnings for this sport in this year.

Micropterus dolomieui – Smallmouth bass

Micropterus salmoides (Lacepede) – Largemouth Bass

The other known classes of Micropterus are also wedged but in these times one that remains most popular is the Largemouth bass. On the other hand, it should be emphasized that some of the Australian Bass are different from the above North American Bass variants even though most share comparable features.

Possibly, the most vigorous success of Bass Fishing was in the 1950s. The popularity of the game during this age is the springboard to the development of modern fishing equipment from bass boats, rods, lines, lures and various fishing gears.

The contribution of bass fishing industry to the US economy records $50 to $70 Billion and the number continues to grow. Statistics show that the audience base of this sport is increasing and that more and more people are getting interested in it compared to tennis and golf.

Electronic gears during that time were also integrated and incorporated among the host of equipments bass fishers which were used at that time. Reels of different types, which function in carrying and hoisting, were also created.

Now that you have a little understanding about bass fishing, you can already start your own bass fishing in your area.. It is important to know certain facts about bass fishing so that you fully understand how it started.

Answer
A variety of lures will work. Buzz baits and spinner baits early and late especially around heavy cover!. As well as rattle-traps burnt real fast sub-surface. Plastic worms and lizards are very effective.
Live bait would be night crawlers fished weightless and small frogs hooked through the lips are dynamite, although you rarely hear of them used.

Marine fish finders are high-tech gadgets that can help you locate fish through new age technology. Have you have ever wasted an entire day looking for a good place to start fishing, only to realize there was nothing there all along? If so, you can appreciate the idea of a marine fish finding device. How does such a product work?

Fish finders are actually fathometers, which operate via echo sounding and active sonar technology. Marine fish finders send out an electrical impulse from a transmitter which is then converted into a sound wave. It is sent to the water and will strike against objects, sending back information on the object’s size, composition and shape. From the data it relates, you can deduce whether or not the object is something stationary or perhaps a living fish.

The accuracy of such a device will depend on the power of the system and pulse it sends out. The data that it sends back will be displayed on a monitor. This device could help fishermen cut their searching time in half, leaving them more time to concentrate on catching their trophies. Some high-priced Marine fish finders may also be able to show depth and sound, as well as chart plotting data, and electronic compasses. Some fish finders can be connected to a radar navigation device for even more accurate fishing expeditions.

Keep in mind that some marine fish finders are cheap for a reason. They may only offer location information so that you can keep track of your moving patterns and your coordinates. After all, some products are less than $100. However, other devices can be $1,000 or more, presumably because they actually offer a fathometer and GPS technology combined. Some models of marine fish finders may be complex to learn, while others remain relatively simple, perhaps just like an ordinary GPS car device.

You may notice that some models have LCD screens while others have CRT screens. Are there any advantages or disadvantages that come from one or the other? Unlike with television sets, LCD displays for fish finders are actually cheaper than CRT screens. In addition, LCDs are usually waterproof and less fragile overall. The main advantages of CRTs are that they can produce a clearer picture. However, they are also more easily prone to breaking and water damage.

Obviously budget is a concern when choosing your marine fish finders. Some would rather invest in other products, electronic and perishable, so that they can focus more on natural fishing than put too much into high-tech devices. You do have to walk a fine line here. After all, fishing finders do not help improve your technique; they merely prevent you from wasting too much time in one unproductive spot. You could look into black and white or grayscale screens if you are looking to save money.

Marine fish finders do help to make your fishing expedition more enjoyable and far more products. For more information on where to find these finders, look up marine retailers or type in the name of the model you are interested in for some reviews.
